Original Comic Book, Comic Strip and Illustrations for sale: page three

Notes: A lot of these pieces of original art are 35 years old and older. Quite a few of the comic strip originals have benday (dot patterns) that were applied by the syndicate. As you'll see by the scans, the adhesive sometimes yellows with age. I don't know of any way to stop this. Many of these pieces were already yellowed by contact to air as well as the benday problems, even after being stored properly. Also, I had to scan some of the art in 2 parts and assemble them together. If you see a seam or discoloration at a seam, that's the reason why. A lot of these pieces of original art are 35 years old and older.

Art size= 5 1/4" x 19" - A beautiful & rare 'Long Sam" by Capp & Lubbers, 8/20?? year missing, probably mid-fifties.

 

John Prentice & Al Williamson - Rip Kirby Daily, 7/29/60- $200
Art size= 5 3/4" x 14". A nice strip with a girl being coerced with Al Williamson figures in panels 1, 3.
The original has yellowed quite a bit.
